The OpenCode agent (terminal, desktop app, IDE extension) is open source and free; you bring a provider (BYOK, 75+ providers via Models.dev), log in with GitHub Copilot or ChatGPT Plus/Pro, or use the included free models. OpenCode Go ($10) and Go Plus ($40) are optional subscriptions for open-weight and low-cost models with per-model monthly dollar limits (5-hour = 20% and weekly = 50% of the monthly limit). Console pay-as-you-go sells listed models at cost plus card fees (4.4% + $0.30 per top-up). Go/Go Plus are single-member workspaces only. Security note: on 2026-10-17 OpenCode said a breach of a legacy system affected 1.4% of Console users who had linked external provider keys; keys stored locally by the CLI/desktop app were not involved.
